Boys To Men Southwest is a southwest Colorado non-profit dedicated to the mentorship and support of young men. We work in local schools providing weekly circles staffed by local volunteers who are there to support the boys through the process of becoming mature men, discovering their emotions, and finding healthy ways to live their lives. Along with the school based circles, the boys can attend a rights of passage weekend, as well as join their peers in monthly fun activities in the community. We have found more support needed than ever, given the isolation many youth feel under current health and economic conditions in our area.
Luckily, we and our amazing volunteer mentors are ready to serve so these young do not slip through the cracks. Boys To Men Southwest is our answer to building healthier local communities and relationships for everyone. We are a young organization and always in need of support from the local community. We could really use your help to continue this amazing mission, specifically:
- Skilled Board Members – Have an organizational skill? Passionate about mentorship? We could use your help as a board member or advisor!
- Mentors – Each school circle has 4 adult mentors (who we train!). Interested in volunteering to change the life of a young man, we need you!
- Donations – Our entire organization is volunteer based, and we have a very lean budget to support the work we do. Financial donations help us provide snacks to the boys, make out of school activities possible, allow us to send boys to the rights of passage weekend, and more. We are a 501c3 underneath the financial umbrella of the Pinon Project in Cortez, CO.
