The Fruit is Falling & We Are Hiring!

Pull On Your Picking Pants, It’s Harvest Season!
Wondering what in the world to do with all this falling fruit? Here’s what…organize, harvest, and share! Our region has a plethora of fruit trees – almost more than anyone can handle! Utilize the GFC’s online Fruit Tree Registry to list your tree, to help harvest fruit, or to join in on our community gleaning events (i.e. Fruit Glean Happy Hour!!). Keep scrolling for details on how to get involved…including applying for a job with the GFC! We hope you will join us in our effort to save bears, feed community, and reduce food waste! We Are Hiring!!

This just in — The Good Food Collective is hiring! With harvest season nipping at our heels, we have oodles of work to be done and are looking for a few folks to join our team. We are currently hiring for the following positions:

  • Local Food Purchasing Coordinator (10-20 hours/week September-November)
  • La Plata County Gleaning & Food Distribution Coordinator (Mid-August-November, 20 hours/week)
  • Montezuma County Gleaning Coordinator (10-20 hrs/week September-October)

We are working on job descriptions and will have those posted by the end of day 8/12 on our website, so please be sure to check back at www.goodfoodcollective.org
