Conducts new employee orientation. Performs a variety of functions in troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware concerns. Maintains, repairs, and installs computer hardware, software, and peripherals. Performs configuration and support of Police mobile wireless system, in-car video, and content management system, CPU, application software and peripherals. Administer Cisco VoIP phone and Unity voicemail systems; responsible for moves, adds, changes, analyzing and resolving problems, user setup and training. Support/Assist IT team to monitor, analyze and repair computer and peripheral problems, including servers, PC’s, laptops, tablets, printers and related equipment. Provides technical analysis and research as required. Coordinate Information Technology activities with other City departments, and other area agencies; provide training to users in application supported by IT. Evaluates operations and activities of assigned system responsibilities; recommends improvements and modifications. Prepares documentation for new systems and changes to existing systems including system programs and user guides, end-user reviews, mobile wireless policies and procedures; ensure compliance with established standards and procedures. Attends and participates in professional group meetings; stays abreast of new trends and innovations in information systems. Provides training to end users for all modified and new systems.
