Dolores Community-Wide Yard Sale & Farmers Market Aug 8th

PRESS RELEASE

For Immediate Release

August 8, 2020 – Dolores, Colorado

The Dolores Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Community-Wide Yard Sale & Farmers Market with businesses, residents, growers and makers all showcasing their products.

This year’s Dolores Community-Wide Yard Sale & Farmers Market will be an event you don’t want to miss happening this Saturday, August 8th. Along with town yard sales, our businesses are also participating and we have restaurant specials, thrift store discounts, antique mall finds, sidewalk and parking lot sales and even a motel overstock sale.

Our Farmers Market will have Navajo Tacos, Street Tacos, baked goods, local honey, veggies, jewelry, woodworkers, home goods, art, gems and even one of our local authors selling her latest book set in Dolores. The Farmers Market officially opens Saturday at 11am, but some vendors have opted to show as early as 7am to sell their food and show their wares.

KKDC D’Crow Radio will be live that day visiting businesses and the Farmers Market and you may see Ray McDonnell next to the street playing music and waving at cars. Listen to 93.3FM to get in on the store giveaways happening that day.

Maps listing locations and specials can be downloaded at visitdolores.com. Or stop by the Dolores Visitors Center for a paper version, located on 201 Railroad Avenue, open all week from 10am – 4pm. We’ll also have paper versions at the Info Booth at the Farmers Market that Saturday and around town at participating businesses.

Lastly, we invite everyone to finish out Saturday evening in Dolores with a Drive-In Movie at Joe Rowell Park. Entry is free, so grab some take out from our local restaurants and head over to enjoy Forrest Gump on a 30-foot screen under the stars. Movie starts at 8:30pm but get there early to pick your spot, as parking is limited to 75 vehicles. We’ll have a concession stand with popcorn, beverages and snacks available, and will be giving out free Dolores logo stickers. The Drive-In Movies will continue every Friday after that through September.
